“Why is the Center closed?”

The NCWorks Career Centers in Wake and Johnston Counties are not closed but are operating in a modified status. Services are being provided virtually by phone, chat, or web form. Please call 919-715-0111 or visit accessncworks.com to receive assistance with frequently asked questions, resources, and information on how to navigate NCWorks Online.

 

“What should I, a jobseeker, do right now?”

For employment services, individuals in Wake and Johnston Counties can call 919.715.0111 for one-on-one assistance including job search assistance, resume assistance, counseling and guidance, labor market information, assistance with NCWorks.gov, etc.

 

“How can I (jobseeker/business) set up an appointment to get services?”

Call 919.715.0111

 

“How do I file for unemployment?”

Go online at www.des.nc.gov or call 888.737.0259.

 

“What if I need technical help with using NCWorks.gov and/or lack a computer or reliable internet access?”

Individuals can call 919.715.0111 for assistance with their job search or with navigating NCWorks.gov.

 

“When will you reopen, or how will you decide when to reopen?”

We are evaluating the situation daily and will provide updates as things change. We will make decisions as warranted based on all the information provided to us.

How Do I Reset My Password for NCWorks.gov?

If you live in Wake or Johnston County and have forgotten your username or password, please follow one of the steps below:

1. Go to www.ncworks.gov and click Forgot username/password. Select the option that applies to you.

2. Contact the NCWorks Career Center at 919-715-0111 and request assistance.

 

If you live outside of Wake or Johnston County, please follow one of the steps below:

1. Contact your local NCWorks Career Center.

Tip: To find the nearest NCWorks Career Center near you, go to www.ncworks.gov then enter your zip code in the ‘Enter a Zip Code’ field. Next, select your Radius and then click ‘Search.’

2. Go to www.ncworks.gov and click Forgot username/password. Select the option that applies to you and complete the required fields.
