Workforce Ready: Disability Works!

Workforce Ready 2019: Disability Works! is being held in honor of Disability Awareness Month in North Carolina.  The purpose of the event is to educate businesses about how to hire and retain individuals with disabilities.

Diversity and inclusion programs are growing among today’s businesses, but it goes well beyond race and gender. Disabled workers can be just as skilled and qualified as anyone else.  The event is being held to help reduce the apprehension and misconceptions about hiring the disabled by providing relevant information and making resources available to the business community.

A panel discussion will feature businesses that have successfully integrated hiring those with disabilities into their hiring strategies.  Organizations that help businesses implement programs and specialize in preparing disabled individuals for the workplace will also be present.

There is no fee to attend, but you must register or call 919-856-5390.
