Forum Brings Together Business Leaders for a Successful and Productive Day!
About 230 people attended the Small Business Virtual Workforce Forum on January 26th. The event was co-hosted by nine other workforce boards and NCWorks Career Centers from across the state. NCWorks Commission member Olalah Njenga and CAWD’s business engagement director Barbara Brothers spearheaded the forum.
Businesses learned about no-cost resources and programs available to support the talent pipeline of North Carolina’s small business economy before participating in breakout sessions. CAWD’s breakout session had 30 attendees and featured a panel of business owners from different industries who utilize NCWorks resources like On-the-Job Training, Work Experience, and recruitment assistance as workforce solutions.
