Cameron McNeill
Cameron McNeill serves as Deputy Operations Director for the Office of Strategic Advancement at the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), a newly created function focused on advancing the agency’s strategic priorities. He previously led new product development at Guild, a mission-driven company that partners with Fortune 1000 employers to unlock opportunity for America’s workforce through education and career mobility, and served on Guild’s corporate strategy team, leading market intelligence efforts.
Cameron began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, working in the firm’s economic development practice. He later served as a fellow at the John M. Belk Endowment, a foundation that supports postsecondary education and workforce development in North Carolina.
He holds a B.A. with highest distinction in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar. A Durham native, Cameron now lives in Raleigh after spending time up and down the East Coast. Outside of work, he enjoys cheering for the Tar Heels, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Caroline, and their dog, Abby.
