“GROWING TECH TALENT: IT’S EVERYBODY’S BUSINESS” WILL HELP NON-TECH EMPLOYERS COMPETE FOR TALENT

Raleigh, NC (May 10, 2021) – Capital Area Workforce Development (CAWD) will host “Growing Tech Talent: It’s Everybody’s Business” on May 19th from 8:30 am – 9:30 am. The online event will provide strategies to help companies and organizations that hire IT talent compete with large tech companies.

“As more large and well-known tech companies come into the region, it’s going to become more difficult for small businesses, non-profits and other industries that also need to build technology teams to compete,” said Pat Sturdivant, Executive Director at CAWD. “We’re glad that some businesses are doing innovative things to combat this reality and are willing to share their strategies. Now is the time to develop such programs because the more options candidates have, the tougher it’s going to get.”

Featured panelists include Charlie Bell of Studio TK, Kathy Nguyen of Advance Auto and Tony Marshall of Innovative Systems Group.
