IBM Asks CAWD to Join OneTen Coaltion

OneTen is IBM’s newest collaboration that seeks to hire, promote and advance 1 million Black individuals over the next 10 years, who do not have a four-year degree, into family-sustaining careers. CAWD is one of many in the local coalition of organizations dedicated to cultivating economic opportunities for Black talent. Being a part of this project is in keeping with our goal to serve more individuals of historically marginalized communities.

Local planning is in the early stages, but we will be helping to create awareness about OneTen with job seekers and businesses. Part of the process involves working with businesses to define eligible jobs and roles that are viable for the program. Participating businesses, educators, and community organizations are also prioritizing how to sustain OneTen and build long-term trust and dedication to black talent.
